How did you start surfing:  I was in surf lifesaving since age 5 and  did boogie boarding  so surfing seemed a natural progression. Hooked  from day 1.
Surfing competitively since: local boardriders since 12. First main comps ( Billabong, Nationals) at 13
Competition strategy: Try to go for the best waves in the set and do as many good manoeuvres as I can. Surf my best, not worry about who's in the heat
New Zealand teams:  2008 Junior Worlds
Career highlight: This year winning the Nationals U16s  and King of the Groms , plus Billabong series and also winning a Corona U18 series at Raglan
Ambitions:  I'd like to do some Pro Juniors in Aussie next year, maybe take a gap year after 7th form to continue this, then WQS and WCT, University  marketing degree somewhere along the way
