How has your summer of waves been so far?
It has been super consistent and fun on the west coast, so pretty ideal.

What has been the highlight of the year to date?
One of them has got to be Nationals, I don’t think we have had better waves for a comp, so that was pretty awesome.

You took a comfortable win in the Billabong Grom Series.  Tell us a bit about how that series has shaped your surfing from when you were a young grom?
I think it’s really cool to end my grommet campaign on a series win. Definitely, have fulfilled some of the dreams I had as a young girl just starting off on the competition scene. It’s also awesome to see how the comps have developed and how high the level of surfing has got over the years.

What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Surf heaps, finish my last year of school, and start thinking about what the next few years is gonna be about.

Give us some of your SunSmart tips.
SunSmart tips would be to lather up with sunscreen and zinc, throughout the day.

I always make sure I have heaps of snacks and water so I stay hydrated and fuelled. Sunglasses are also a must, and I always need to cover my shoulders because they tend to get roasted regardless of how often I reapply sunscreen.
