The Oakura Boardriders' Club has always been about the next generation of surfers, says founding president Mike Christiansen.

So it's no surprise the club, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this weekend, takes great pride in the achievements of Paige Hareb, perhaps New Zealand's best known surfer, who has been a member since she was but a wee grommet.
