The International Surfing Association (ISA) is still accepting bids for the 2011 ISA World Bodyboarding Games (WBBG). Several ISA members and independent promoters have shown an interest in hosting this event. The bidding will close on 28 February, 2010.
This event was designed in an effort to provide an exclusive and specialized competitive experience for the specific needs of the bodyboarding community. These include a bodyboarding-specific judging panel, better waves for bodyboarding and exclusive exposure of this exciting sport.
The ISA World Bodyboarding Games has been formatted for participation of 24 National Teams composed of 5 people: 3 male bodyboarders, 1 female bodyboarder and 1 manager/coach. The contest itself will take place over a one week period and will consist of only one podium. This exciting and action-packed event gives the chance for smaller NGBs to host a key ISA event.
