Judges Registration

You have three registration levels (based on experience) once you have completed the new International Judging Course. Registration payments are due on the 1st December each year.

SNZ Judge Level 1

$25 per year   

On completion of the new International Judging Course 

You will be registered with SNZ as an accredited Level 1 official. This will enable you to officiate at club and national events. You are not required to submit a record of judging hours to maintain this minimum accreditation level ,how-ever we ask that you maintain your registration each year. Payment of your registration fee will reinstate you on the National Officials database and ISA database and you will receive a personalised ISA Judges ID card, news and information.   

SNZ Judge Level 2   

$35 per year 

You will have judged a minimum of 20 hours under a SNZ accredited Head Judge. 

You will be registered as a Level 2 official with SNZ and the ISA. This will enable you to officiate at regional and national sanctioned surfing events. Payment of your registration fee will reinstate you on the SNZ National Officials database and ISA database and you will receive the current ASP Australasia rulebook, personalised ISA Judges ID card, news and information. You will also be eligible for the International Judges Exchange Program. You will be expected to keep a log of all your judging hours. 

International Judge Level 3

$45 per year

You will have judged over 200 hours under a SNZ Head Judge and have judged an ISA or ASP sanctioned event.

You will be registered as an International Level 3 Judge with SNZ and the ISA (International Surfing Association). This will enable you to officiate at regional, National and International surfing events and be eligible for the International Exchange Program. Payment of your registration fee will reinstate you on the National and International Officials (ISA) database and you will receive the current ASP Australasia rulebook, Personalised International Judges ID card, news and information. You will be required to keep a log of all your judging hours - your personal judging CV and may be asked to present this to the SNZ Judging Manger when registering each year. The Level 3 registration is recommended for all judges who are looking to make a career out of judging or who wish to be selected for international events. 
All registrations will be valid from the 1st January till the 31st December per calendar year. You will be sent an email in December each year as a reminder to register for the following year.  Please allow 2-3 weeks from registration payment to receive your ISA personalized identification card.
