Surfing New Zealand are holding a Level 1 Surf Instructors Course in Raglan on the 25th & 26th September 2010. The course is accredited by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and is the minimum requirement needed to teach surfing on NZ beaches. The cost for the course is $550.
You will need a basic level of surfing ability and an enthusiastic approach but most of all a passion for surfing. Places are limited and are on a first come first serve basis. There is a course subsidy for the first 15 Maori participants thanks to Te Puni Kokiri. If you are looking at becoming a surf instructor this summer then this is the course for you!
