Surfing New Zealand offer life membership to those people who have put in the hard yards administering the sport of surfing and getting it to where it is today. Often the work of sports administrators goes unnoticed so it is highly important that these people get the recognition they deserve. As the sport of surfing has grown, much of the input from life members has been carried out on a voluntary basis. They have got stuck in and completed the work that was required for the love of surfing.
