The NMD 2013 North Island Bodyboard Champs are set to take place in Kaitaia
from the 25th – 28th January 2013. The first event of the 2013 BBSNZ tour, the
NMD North Island Bodyboard Champs is a mobile contest held in the best waves in
the Far North region over the 4 day period.
The event is open to anyone and everyone with divisions for age group
and first time bodyboarders, right through to the highly contested Open Men’s
division.
With competitors travelling from the length and breadth of New Zealand and a
more than favourable forecast on the cards the event is shaping up to be one of
the highlights of the 2013 bodyboarding calendar in New Zealand. Two time event winner Blair Dowman of Kaitaia
said he is stoked to have the event back in his local waves and looking forward
to more excellent conditions in 2013.
