The ISA would like to thank all National Governing Bodies who responded to the request for input regarding the inclusion of the Womens Longboard division in the ISA World Surfing Games. While there are some nations where Women's Longboarding has gained popularity, there is not enough support for the discipline around the world to justify adding the division to the 2010 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games in Peru this October. Only six nations confirmed their intention to participate in this potential division. The ISA will continue to monitor this matter in years to come.
The team size and categories for this year's World Surfing Games remain as follows:
- 4 Open Men
- 2 Open Women
- 2 Open Longboard “
- Alternates, Team Officials and Team Supporters
