North Wai Boardriders have just celebrated their 25th Anniversary of the Dunga Classic. The event is probably the oldest type of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, if not the world. The first day of the event was held in 3ft surf with conditions described as "pretty good for Brighton." Sunday turned it on with 2-3ft waves and offshore winds, a fitting end to 25 years of North Wai Dungary.

2nd Shane Baxter
3rd Mark Perana
4th Sam Hawke
The weekend was a who's who for Christchurch, with everyone from Denis Quane through to Iain Ratso Buchanan in attendance.
