New Zealand has secured three finalists in the Oakley Surfing Life Big Wave Awards. The winners will be announced tonight in Sydney at 10pm. The New Zealand finalists are Damon Gunness (tow), Doug Young (tow) and Shane Baxter (paddle).
Damon Gunness is in the final after his massive tow in ride on the East COast of the North Island. SHane Baxter paddled into his Papatowai beast south of Dunedin and Doug Young took a trip to West Oz with Ross Clarke - Jones to get towed into his entry.
