The Waikato River Alive Project is an initial three year community sport based initiative that will seek to increase water based sporting opportunities to predominately Maori Communities on an iconic natural resource, the Waikato River from Meremere to Port Waikato.
The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing the day to day operations of the project and for ensuring that the project outcomes are achieved. The Project Manager will also oversee the Swim to Survive, Club Capacity Building, Coach Development and Event Management Programs.
Waikato River Alive is a Collaborative SPARC Active Communities Project, partners include Counties Manukau Sport, Water Safety NZ, Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa (NZ Waka Ama) Surfing NZ, Surf Life Saving NZ, Community Leisure Management, Huakina Development Trust, Franklin District Council and Waikato District Council, therefore applicants will need to clearly demonstrate a successful track record in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including iwi.
If you have the ability to oversee multiple workstreams, enhance collaborative partner relationships and ensure key outputs are achieved within agrees time frames, then this may be the job for you.
