Surfing New Zealand Sponsors

export-gold-127
Export Gold is principal sponsor of Surfing New Zealand. Export Gold is the naming rights sponsor to the Export Gold Series and the Export Gold Super 16.  The support of Export Gold allows Surfing New Zealand to operate a professional organisation and assist with the development of the sport in this country.  Keep an eye out for an Export Gold Series event at a beach near you.

09-hyundai Hyundai started out with Surfing New Zealand in 2004 providing a vehicle for the Executive Officer.  Surfing New Zealand proved that it could deliver and get the exposure that the South Korean car company desired and now we have Hyundai as one of the major backers of the organisation.  Not only do they completely back the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour but they are the naming rights sponsor for the National Champs.  Not to mention the insane vehicles that they provide us with.  Thinking about a new vehicle or a change of make, then take a look at the Hyundai website.

Sport and Recreation New Zealand are the government agency that invests in sporting organisations throughout the country.  Surfing has been fortunate to have a long standing and positive relationship with SPARC since the early nineties.  SPARC provides SNZ with the structure and development initiatives to keep the organisation moving forward. Since 2001 SNZ has taken advantage of the the Prime Ministers Scholarships  and has enrolled both athletes and coaches on the programme.

Smokefree have been involved with surfing since 1996 and we’ve been a staunch supporter of their message ever since. You have to be fit to surf and smoking hinders fitness so there’s a natural fit.  Besides, cigarette butts mess up the beach and we’re keen to do our bit for the environment.
Whilst the message is integrated throughout our sport and all our events are smokefree, we work closely with Smokefree on the Smokefree National Scholastic Surfing Champs and the Auahi Kore Aotearoa Maori Titles.
