For those interested in coaching and
judging surfing, Surfing New Zealand has a plethora of courses coming up and
they are being held throughout the country.
The coaching courses comprise both level one and level two. Level one teaches surf instructors the basics
of how to teach beginners to surf while the level two course goes deeper into
high performance surfing and competition strategies.
The qualification allows you to become a surf instructor at any of the SNZ affiliated
surf schools throughout New
Zealand.
The judging course runs through the mechanics of judging surf events. All accredited judges have the ability to
gain employment at SNZ sanctioned events held throughout New Zealand.
The course is great for club members that help out at a community level, those
that want to take their judging further to a national or international level
and also the surfer wanting to better understand how to clock up the big scores
while competing.
All coaching and judging courses are accredited by the International Surfing
Association (ISA) and are applicable the world over which is great for those
that want to travel.
