Ware as he is more affectionately known recently placed fifth at the National Scholastic Championships held at Fitzroy Beach New Plymouth.  Ware was narrowly defeated by Paul Moretti and Josh Taylor in the semifinals.  Earlier in the event he had been blowing the back out of waves and moving through heats with ease.
