Inside Tora (Wairarapa) was the scene for the most recent Wellington Boardriders Club contest this month. Competitors opted for a ‘Skins’ format and the hardy entry card went about the endurance event that is a skins (instant knockout) contest. The waves were a consistent 3 foot and the wind was relatively light. The perfect start to a long weekend!
Coming out on top with three heat wins in a row and the highest scoring wave of the event (8.8 out of a possible 10) was Wellington Boardriders Club surfer Darryl King of Houghton Bay. Congratulations to Darryl and well done to all competitors for participating. Points will be allocated and posted on our club points tally page shortly. Thanks to Rob for the PA and Waitaki Surf Co for the wax.Photos of the contest can be found here.
