The ISA is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2018 ISA Scholarship Program. The ISA Scholarship Program was established in 2007 and has awarded more than $288,500USD in scholarships to role model student-surfers around the world.
This year, the ISA will award $20,000USD in scholarships to under-18 year olds who demonstrate real financial need, are enrolled in school, are an outstanding role model to their surfing community, and are recommended by their National Surfing Federation. Applicants must be age 18 years or under as of December 31, 2018.
2018 ISA Scholarship applicants may apply for financial support for the following:
- Education (tuition, books, uniforms, transportation, etc.)
- Equipment (surfboard, wetsuit, leash, etc.)
- Competition/Training (coaching, travel, contest fees, etc.)
Receiving an ISA Scholarship can be a life-changing event for a young surfer. The ISA urges you to make sure your national junior surfers receive the opportunity to participate in this generous ISA Scholarship Program by sharing the link with qualified candidates, assisting with the application process when needed, and providing letters of recommendation. The ISA will also be promoting the program publicly, with the online form available to all eligible surfers.
